Dear CNAR Members/Colleagues,
CPhM is hoping to gather insight into the processes used by regulators to provide an appropriate and meaningful performance review of general legal counsel. Regulators are often so reliant on the expertise and advice of legal counsel, and this requires a robust trusting professional relationship, with assurances there is always a firm understanding of the current legislated principles at hand, and what is also potentially on the horizon.
Although CPhM is very satisfied with our current general legal counsel, we would like to embark on a process for conducting such a performance review on a regular basis and look to our colleagues if this is done by anyone else.
If you conduct such a review, do you rely on specific resources or templates? Do you provide a written summary of the review afterwards as documentation? Are you willing/able to share any of your resources/templates if using?
Any assistance/guidance is greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Rani Chatterjee-Mehta
