Dear CNAR members. We have received a request from an internationally educated occupational therapist to waive our assessment fees, due to their financial situation. Wondering how other organizations manage these requests to waive fees due to adverse circumstances in their country, financial difficulties, or from refugees? Do you have programs in place to provide financial support? Or do you point the individual to other resources such as microloans? Are you aware of other financial resources that may support these individuals? If you do provide financial support, how do you assess the validity of the request?
We are a non-profit organization with a tight budget and would appreciate hearing from others.
